RobotsMali is a center dedicated to training and innovation in robotics and artificial intelligence (IA), to democratize access to emerging technologies in Mali and West Africa.

Through extracurricular programmes, international competitions, practical training and collaborations with schools and universities, RobotsMali prepares the next generation for the challenges of digital technology.

The centre also engages in research and development, including through projects funded by international partners, and plays a key role in the Malian technological ecosystem with events like IndabaX Mali and Robotic Competitions.

RobotsMali AI4D Lab

RobotsMali AI4D Lab works for an accessible and responsible artificial intelligence in French-speaking Africa, addressing linguistic challenges and building research and innovation capacities. By bringing together universities, companies and public institutions, the laboratory promotes education, entrepreneurship and the development of local AI solutions. Anchored in the programme ODAIt helps build an inclusive ecosystem where AI becomes a lever of social and economic transformation for the Sahel region.

RobotsMali uses AI to produce stories that reflect the life and culture of ordinary Malians.

AI project encourages local languages to replace French in schools in Mali

RobotsMali uses ChatGPT, Google Translate and other AI tools to help young students learn faster and stay in school.

AI fills educational gaps

Thanks to ChatGPT and the Dall-E image program, RobotsMali produced 60 different textbooks in Bambara in just eight weeks, « the language children understand », to introduce them to reading at different levels of learning.

Robotics: Mali wins third place at PARC 2023 in Dakar

From July 23rd to 30th, African teams of young robotists competed at the Pan-African Robotics Competition (PARC). In Dakar, where the 2023 edition took place, young people had to provide solutions for agricultural technology.
